2002 Grizz First Ride
#1
I just picked up my 2002 Griz yesterday and rode it for about 1 hr. This thing is sweet. I also just received the Dirt Wheels mag with the 650 660 shootout yesterday also before I picked up my ATV. The article had me worried that I pick the wrong ATV because I like a sportier riding ATV. Well after riding it I am very happy! The article said "Even if you try to jump off a small hump in the trail, it (the Grizz) won't let you." I found this not to be true. There are many small humps in the trail near me and I was getting about 1/2 to a foot off the trail. The only reason that maybe my ride is different is my personal size of 6'4 315lbs and the fact that I also put Douglas Rims rear 12x8 front 12x7 and Maxxis All Traks rear 25 10x12 front 25 8x12. I did not even try to ride with the stock tires and rims. I do not like to ride thru deep stuff mud or water so I won't have those problem people have been complaining about. For anyone interested I also but a moose bar with cross bar on it. It does limit your view of the display but if you are taller like me it is not a problem. I also had the dealer put on Oury Grips and a tether kill switch for cross country racing. So If anyone, who likes a sportier ride , was scared by the article relax. It may not be as sporty as the 650 but I am very happy after the first ride. I recommend putting after market rims and tires on.
