Has anyone heard about Tim Farrs MX racing quad with a YZ400F in it? I seen it in Dirt Wheels. It is questioned to be the fastest mx quad ever built.

 

i have heard about it and seen it many times. its awesome. i'm sure its not the fastest though. i bet this 425R race quad is much faster. its the rider (tim farr) that makes it seem to be the fastest.

 

Yeah it probably is the rider.

 

While it may not be the very fastest out there, it's no doubt fast! I am sure that part of that is Tim Farr, but there are a few other guys out there doing well on them, Doug Gust has his Suzuki and there are LOTS of 400exs out there too.
I have a friend who rides an LRD 300R in the open A class and he is going to a 426 motor next year, he said that the 2 strokes cant really compete anymore. I mean, they can, but the AMA is trying to push them out (I agree) and doing so successfully. I am sure that it isnt helping that all the 2 strokes are freakin 12 years old or so, and that you can go to any honda dealer anywhere and pick up a 400ex, throw on a pipe and some nerfs and go race.

But my point is that Tim's 426 is one fast SOB, I can promise you that, he wouldnt be riding it if it wasnt.
