I believe the rule is to go one pilot size for every mod and then go from there. You don't want to start out lean! You want to start out rich. Hope this helps.

I think Jason meant mainjet. My wifes blaster has the same setup as yours will and I am running 240 main, center needle clip position. You should go get some jets... 260 back down to stock (220 I think) I would start with 260 just to be safe.
Too bad the Blaster has that crappy float bowl with no main access. It sure makes dialing in the jetting a chore. That is why I got a new Mikuni with a jet access plug. Of course, I haven't installed it yet... :-)

ditch the k&n filter they make it easier for dirt to get in the carb and eventually into the motor get a uni filter

dont listen to him. you bought is so you cant just get rid of it. did you buy an outer wear? if not get one. also if you are taking the air box lid off get a cover that is made by the same company as outerwares and shockwears. as for the jetting i dont?

My wifes 98 blaster has the same pipe and I have a 270 main jet. Alot will depend on where you are in the country I'm on the east coast. As for as the filter ordeal I have used both a K&N and a foam Pro Design on my banshee. I like the foam better but the K&N will work just fine. Either one you must keep clean, I have several and change them every 2 hours of riding sounds like alot but if you have more than one just swap and clean both when your home. Good Luck
