u have to consider weight with the blaster its made for smaller people and a big guy would slow it down.

skt, i ride a 300ex through trails, and i was faster than a vforce 700 because the 300ex is so quick and agile, it would smoke a 250ex on a trail no matter how tight it was, esspecially a raptor, whats up with not liking chains and clutches, i wouldnt have anything else because as dunejammer said you have all the power control possible, and you could have faster takeoff without the extra weight on it, if you were climbing rock hills and had an auto clutch, you would have to worry about engine braking, on my friends recon, when you let off the gas, the wheels keep spinning for a second or two before they stop, when going up a steep hill would you want that to happen when you let off the gas to roll back down? i wouldnt either, if you pull in the clutch then you lose all the power to the wheels leaving them free to spin backwards without any drag.if you always stay in front of the people you ride with on tight trails, when would they get the chance to pass??especially if you started off in front of them. bottom line is a chain/clutch would most of the time have the edge over a shaft or auto transmission.

If you could drop all 4 off a mountain, which would reach the bottom first…

if u have a clutch then u can slip it every once in a while when u need more power and u have smoother shifting.
