No spring back in clutch.

Before I go ripping the side of my engine casing off, I would like to know if there is a spring or something that makes the clutch go back to postition after releasing it. Anyone ever have you clutch do this?

As long as the cable is ok it sounds like it's time to pull the clutch cover off.

That's not what I wanted to hear... I have the cover poxied together... hmmm You sure there isn't a spring outside the box that maybe came off or something?
