i was just wondering if the new blasters have
aluminum wheels? I was down the dealer ship and got a yamaha catalog and it says they have aluminum wheels. is this true?

I will have to check on this. I also went to my dealer and the catalog noted that '00 Blasters come equipped with aluminum wheels. I also checked their website and it also states that the Blaster for '00 has aluminum rims. The pictures of the wheels don't look aluminum, but then neither do the new aluminum rims on the Mojave. We'll have to find out for sure!

 

Yes they do. They just arn't polished like say a 300EX's rims.

 

No, they are NOT aluminum. Yamaha doesn't do a very good job proofreading their catalog, or their web sites. Last year their site said Blasters had drum brakes on the back.

 

They are steel wheels painted silver, my little brother just got one.

 

No the 2000 Blasters do not have aluminum wheels nor do they have a 28mm mikuni carb(which are both stated in the specs of the blaster 2000 catalogue and internet site) I know this for a fact because i just bought a 2000 and was interested in the same thing,i measured the carb, its 26mm still, and a magnet will stick to the "steel" wheels like it does to a refrigerator
