Grab Bar means "free Drinks" just like you said. But you gotta take whatever drinks are already made, hence the "grab". Kinda like "pot Luck", you just gotta grab whatever is there, with any Luck it'll be good, but you should be thankful and polite even if it is not your favorite brand of drink.
