Hi i have a 88 banshee and there is metal shavings in my oil...is this a warning sign that my tranny is gonna go soon. if so is it hard to split the cases and how expsense are the gears that i might have to relpace? Right now i have the motor out of the quad and the top end is ripped downed becuase i am reringing it. Should i rebuilt the tranny now?? will it save time and possibly money or should i just wait for the tranny to go?? the only problems i am having with the tranny is it drops out of first gear sometimes. let me know what you guys think.

thanks a lot

it is probably the clutches slipping...the clutch is wearing down and the pieces are in your oil...check the plates and see if u need new ones...

The Banshee case is an easy one to split and reassemble. Good luck!!!!
