Whoever said the toomeys add 17 hp means that the pipes make 17 hp more than the stock pipes in a certain rpm range..not peak horsepower...so it is possible to make 17 hp in a certain rpm range

1. If the readings are from actual Dyno Runs then I would think they are credible. Sure they could alter them, but once they were found out, goodby credibility.

2. I disagree with clindst. Kid_Banshees PARENTS are the idiots for letting him buy a Banshee. I doubt he is actually buying it, they are prolly writing the check. Kid_BAnshee is just doing what comes natural to us "boys". more HP all the time!

Leave the kid alone. Ive seen many younger kids ride safer than adults.
As for dyno reports, if interested, take a look at alba's web site. Im not knocking the toomies, but they show the toomies and pro circuit about the same on top end. the fmf's showed more top end. Im not favoring any one pipe. take a look if you like. reguardless what pipe you go with, you will perform better. Everyone has a personal preference. Just enjoy what you buy and ignore all the crap about who is faster. There are more factors than speed. you have to be able to ride the speed to make it work for you.

Kid_Banshee is just doing what every teen does like myself for example I wanted a Banshee but I couldn't see giving that much for a ATV. So I settle with a Warrior which is an awesome machine, but don't get me wrong the Banshee will always be Yamaha's PRIDE AND JOY. But I think in another year or so when i turn 18 I think I will look into buying a Banshee.

If you look around the forums, kid_banshee has changed his name to 2000 blaster. I think that is a better quad to start out with anyway..I think he will have more fun on that at 14. I'm 22 years old, and when I bought my quadzilla, it intimidated and plain scared the hell out of me at full throttle. What would a banshee do at 14 years old? Thats too much bike to start with!

I cant beleive you let everyone talk you out of a banshee. i got mine at 14 also, and im stil alive. After about 6 mons. youll wish you had one. YOU dont have to ride like a madman when you first get it, just ride smart, thats what i did, and it paid off.

Well there is also the fact that no one under 18 years old can ride a banshee. Says it right on the fender. And I think its a good idea, for yourself and everyone around you.

But yet i also started out a 86 200, then went to a 300ex, and now my kick *** banshee which tears **** up. He isnt too young for it but he is just not experienced at ALL.

I bought a new '92 Banshee on my 14th birthday, (with a loan that took me 4 years to pay off) I wouldn't have been happy with anything less than that. I got toomey T-4's the following year. I'm now 22, and still alive.

Ya, Chrome pipes turn purple pretty bad. Try Nickel plating. It won't discolor as bad, and when it does, you can polish it out a lot easier. It is also more rust resistant than chrome, and it disapates heat better than chrome. My 7 year old Nickeled Toomey's don't look that bad.
