I think we are all forgeting the price aspect. You can get a decent used Blaster for $2000 or a new one for 3000. That would be one vote for blaster.

Also, the Blaster can be a good trail rig. From what I have heard it is very light weight, decent power, nimble with short wheelbase. It has no reverse but it is so light, pulling it out by hand is no big deal. It has limited ground clearance so DEEP mud is a moot point. Check out www.blastercentral.com and read up on some of the reviews.

Nice used quad from $1500-2000, how can you argue with that?

Candlewick~ you haven't ridden a blaster much have you? One person in our river group has one. It is fine out in the sand and doing short bursts. For a trail bike, it ain't worth a flip.

I will have to agree with Mr45auto. I too ride a warrior and couldn't be more pleased with my bike. However, my father has a 2000 wolverine. It is one of the best trail bikes I have ever seen. For rocks and mud, you can't beat it and it still has good top end. I would probably add some after market pipes and jets but i think it is one of the best trail bikes ever.

I'm in the ATV biz and I here more and more about $5,000.00 Warriors getting beaten by the $3,000.00 Blasters. If that's any importance to you.

i have a warrior and i have one friend with a 400ex and 1 with a 300ex. the guy with the 400 can beat me in speed but if you trail ride you haave to have reverse!!! the girl with the 300ex, she can do pretty good at keeping up with me. in a drag race she really falls short but on the trail she does good. with one problem tho, it takes her 5 minutes just to get it in reverse.

for easy use and lots of power, you gotta go with a warrior!

I have a 250X, my freind on a blaster kills me and keeps up with 400Ex's. The only thing I don't like are the brakes. Other than that it's the one for me.

I was wondering if anyone has seen the "4-wheel
atv action" magazine's shootout between the 300ex and the Scrambler 400? Also, what the results where?

MOJAVE......I KNOW I WILL BE RIDICULED FOR SAYING THAT BUT...MOJAVE. THE MOJAVE GOT REEMED IN THE SHOOTOUT, BUT DON'T GO JUST BY WHAT YOU READ. RIDE THEM ALL AND SEE WHICH ONE BEST SUITS YOU. I OWN A BANSHEE, AND I WAS STILL SUPRISED ON HOW STRONG FOR ITS SIZE THE MOJAVE'S MOTOR IS. I WANTED A RELIABLE 4 STROKE AND WAS GOING TO GET A 300EX OR WARRIOR UNTIL I RODE THE MOJAVE. IT REALLY IS A NICE BIKE FOR TRAIL RIDING AND ALL OUT FUN. IT DOESN'T FEEL AS HEAVY AS THEY SAY IT IS BUT I HAVE NO WAY OF WEIGHING IT MYSELF. I'M 5'10", 175LBS AND I HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH ROOM ON IT. SO DON'T RULE OUT THE MOJAVE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. SOMETIMES THE UNDERDOG WILL COME BACK AND SUPRISE YOU!!!!

NO, BUT I READ THE SHOOTOUT BETWEEN THE OTHER BIKES......OVERALL THE 300EX WON THE SHOOTOUT, IT WAS THE SLOWEST HOWEVER. 2ND WAS THE WARRIOR, WHICH WAS THE FASTEST. 3RD WAS THE BLASTER WHICH WAS THE SECOND FASTEST. AND LAST WAS THE MOJAVE, THIRD FASTEST. HANDLING: 300EX, WARRIOR, BLASTER, MOJAVE(BECAUSE OF IT'S WEIGHT OVER THE BLASTER). THEY DID NOT QUOTE ENGINE OUTPUT FIGURES BUT HERE IS HOW THEY WOULD STACK UP: WARRIOR, MOJAVE, BLASTER, 300EX.(AGAIN, THE MOJAVE WEIGHS A LOT MORE THAN THE BLASTER, SO IT'S SLIGHT POWER ADVANTAGE IS NOT REPRESENTED BY THE DRAG RACE NUMBERS)

Hey, I have had a 250x, a Warrior, and a Blaster, at One time or another..
Last night I just Picked up a Prestine 96 Warrior, that didnt even have the paint scraped off the frame on the footguardsm unbelievable, I picked it up for 3000.00, with 4 new holeshot tires, a Cobra exhauust, aftermarket skids, Hand guards and a new battery. Its For My Wife to ride.
Experience riding all three, I will say the Blaster is fun in the woods if your light enough not to steal the power, handles great, Kind of peppy. Blaster Drawbacks..Extremely CRAPPY brakes,But if you like everything else about it, then you can go for an aftermarket Hydraulic setup for a few bucks.. The 250x/300ex. great all around bike, Really fun in the woods, but falls fast on long hills and is geared a bit slow. Aftermarket Pipes, Filters, Really help liven it up..Well the filter seems to help more than the pipe, Pipes just dont do a four stroke justice like a two stroke.
The warrior, this is my second one.. Is a great all around Bike.. Its Not as nimble in the woods as the blaster or EX, But has a much better power spread, even though Peak Horsepower is not much more than the EX.. Reverse Can be Engaged from Any gear. Suspension is Comparable to the other two.
Hope this Helps!
