it has that limited slip diff. actually only 3 wheel drive, I guess. I paid $5800 out the door for mine at my favorite Yamaha dealer. Everyone else wanted $6100-6400. It's a truly awesome machine. I love it, so does everyone else that rides it. No problems, very easy to do maintenance on as well.

Turbo:
Expect to pay full price, as they are selling
at a brisk pace.
The 00'Kodiak is an outstanding 4X4, both front wheels can and often do recieve power,
4 holes dug in the Dirt when I tied 'er to
a Telephone pole to prove to my associates they might be
in error.
The Limited Slip gives easier steering with
a greater degree of manuverability, True 4-Wheel Drive gives better traction.
As far as I am concerned the King Quad, has the Best System, even if Diff-Lock only works in Super Low(All 4X4's should have an all range, all speed system like that)
If purchased, I am sure the 00'Kodiak will
provide years of reliability and enjoyment.
Good Luck

Me and a friend both bought 00 Kodiaks for $5500 at Lake Hill Motors in Corinth Mississippi and no Sales Tax. We have had no problems at all and both love our choices, the machines are 2 months old and the performance is great.-------------------- Kyle Kimball Southeast Texas----------

It took me almost 2 years to buy a quad and when they came out with the water-cooled Kodiak we went down and raced a Grizz against the Kodiak and they were so close that we both decided to get the Kodiacs instead of the Grizzly. It was also the way they built the quad with its quality and performance in mind. I asked the other owner about his Kodiak and he told me he was glad I talked him into buying it instead of the Grizzly, what a relief!-----------Kyle Kimball Southeast, Texas-----------

turboshane,
The '00 Kodiak has a 10.25:1 piston, heated 33mm Mikuni carb (for cold weather starts), full-chassis skidplates, CV guards, a 401cc motor, and push-button 4-wd to allow you to slide her in corners (when in 2-wd). What other performance mods do you need? Ride one! It is not like you are on a utility model at all.
