I am considering installing front lockers on my kodiak. I know that while in 4wd the steering will be affected with both tires turning. I am wondering if the steering will be affected while in 2wd

Previously discussed ("Search" button might help you find the old posts); short answer is, yes, steering with a locker is more difficult, even in 2WD (ground-slip exists between the spooled front wheels, although drivetrain binding absent in 2WD).

The locker developer and High-Lifter are jointly developing and "Easy-steer" kit for the Grizzly, I understand; due out soon. I'd look into this new device/system if I were interested in a locker for a Grizz.

If you get a locker, your Kodiak will be harder to steer in two wheel drive than in four wheel drive because the front wheels won't be pulling, but will still turn at the same speed (no slippage).
