Did not pick the Wolverine was I wrong?

I own a polaris 500 sportman and use it for fishing and just trail riding with friends in northern Ontario Canada . Sometimes we have to load our bikes on trains to get to where we want to go and my only complaint I have about my 500 is the weight and size of it . My friends own 250 and 300 utility bikes and in alot of situation have easier time of it then me in the rough going. My question is how good is the Yamaha Wolvine? On paper it has it all ,large engine,racks,4wd and is lighter at 485 lb than 300 2wd and almost the same as some 250 2wd let alone any 4wd period.

depends. The wolverine is almost in a whole different class. with the wolv you can fly through the trails with eas. Its got such great handleing and that I can ride through the trails with on hand(its been done).Mud, snow sand it can handle it alland is very versitil. If your idea of atving is zipping through trails and beating all your friend, than the answer is yes.If you desire a powerhouse workhorse than the answer is no.

Being a 350 (Not a small motor)it must do a little work well and its only 150cc less than mine and 200 pounds lighter how do they do this is it built weak or what.I never seen a wolvine up here and there is none in our dealer show rooms. From the pictures I have seen the wolverine looks like a 350 big bear but with more travel, larger tank, higher ground clearance and 80 lb lighter you got to like that.
