I am looking at buying a new griz and of course I am trying to get the best deal that I can. I was in one showroom today where the salesperson told me that he would not move at all off of $6,999 (MSRP). The salesman further explained that each dealership only gets a certain number of grizz's from Yamaha for the year. They are not having any trouble selling them so they " ain't discounting them"
It's really hard for me to believe that nobody is discounting these things. I would rreally be interested in what your pricing exoperiences were on the 2002 griz.

Thanks,

I talked to a salesman about the 2002 Grizzly at Bee-Line Sports Center in St. Joseph, MN, and he told me they were selling the silver one for $6895, and they had some red and green ones for $6595. This was about 3 weeks ago. Time for you to find another dealer if that one wants to sell one for only M.S.R.P., and no discount.

Pilot,

I believe it is all in where you live and/or how far you're willing to drive. I was told the same thing about my Silver Grizz...and sense I couldn't find any Silver ones left even remotely where I live, I paid full price. Now, the wife is looking at a new kodiak and its the same story..difference being Canada has an awesome black kodiak and she called the dealer there today and he's putting together a quote for her on Tuesday..I will keep you informed on how good a price the Canadian dealer gives us.

Only thing worse than paying full price is a dealer that adds on a setup fee of $200. Thats right there with dealers that won't allow a test drive. Bullcrap. Thats what I said to the setup fee so I drove 270 miles away to get my 660.

Bought this thing the third week they were on the showroom floors. Paid $6399 for a green one and threw in $70 for the winch. No setup charge, didn't pay tax because of the farm equipment thing. If I would have bought it close to home, it would have cost about $7200 without the winch.

Check around real good and use the telephone as your #1 resource. You can find a better deal than that for sure. You just have to do some haggling.

I bought mine on July 2, for $6500 plus tax and $69 for the winch. They must not live by the same "rules" in Florida, I just can't stand it when dealers charge list + shipping or setup or whatever.

Live in upstate NY. Bought mine for $6900, with 2000# Warn winch installed, out the door + tax. Got silver one too, so would have been $300 less if I got green/red/beige.

You have to let the dealer know they can't bully you into thinking they "just can't discount" b/c the are selling them easily. I got the same line of bull around here until I called 4 other dealers. I said to one that the other is selling for less. This started a bidding war. Next thing I knew, once the closest dealer to me knew I was heading elsewhere unless he decided to deal, he came down $400 to meet the others
