I bought my first quad (Raptor 2001) about 7 months ago and ride at the coastal dunes in Florence Oregon. I'm tired of being dusted by the banchee's! My bike is all stock at the moment. What is the best place to begin for more power? I've seen a few threads recommending the DynoJet kit, K&N filter, and White Bros. E Series. Is this a good start? If so, any recommendations for good buys on the web? Thanks for the advice.

get the GYT-R tip and header pipe, supposedot be massive torque, a definate plus for the dunes, and get a prodesign intake w/ k&N fiulter w/ outerwear, it is said that if you dont use a outerwear in teh dues the sand gets through a K&N no problem, then get a dynojet kit.

your very first perf upgrade should be the air box. get a pro-design kn filter
set up, next cut the flaps out of the snorkle and put some uni-air box vents in lid
then re-jet go up in your mains i have 150-155 mains and up one size in pilot
jet to 25. that air box will be your biggest gain in performance!!! next get a
new silencer like the yoshimura or gyt-r.

Ignore the posts about pipe suggestions. You're riding at the Oregon Dunes, so are restricted to a 93dB noise limit. All the standard exhaust systems for a Raptor exceed this limit (See Dirt Wheels Exhaust Shootout). I've been looking for a suitable exhaust myself, but have not really seen anything I like. Saw an FMF quiet core that may work, but didn't like the sound of it.

BTW, anyone who ignores this 93dB limit and takes thier chances - is someone who is not welcome, as the noise provides ammo for local residents to shut us down. And yes! There are those who are trying to shut us down!
