My brother is bringing his 250R down for the winter dirt drags and were going to ship it back for his season

I usaully ship engines from Ohio & Michigan via R & L Carriers. I never have had a problem. Give them a call and they should be able to give you a price. My brother-in-law works on the dock in Cincinatti he said he has seen ATVs being shipped by them before. Mak sure you have the weight of your quad also. I use Yellow Freight only because I get a 54% discount. I shipped a 250r from Michigan to Utah and it cost me $366.00. It only took five days to get it. If I didn't get the discount I would probably use Forward Air. The delivery time is much longer though.

Mine was shipped on a metal pallet and tied down. The pallet had no sides or top. I would have preferred an enclosed crate but there was no damage. I also had a 250r shipped from Florida to Utah with no problems. In most cases the party you are purchasing the quad from will have to crate the machine. You can purchase insurance as well.

Last year I shipped a 350 Odyssey from Dallas to Chicago fro $130.00 with Forward Air. It took about a week to get there. I built an enclosed creat and it weighed right at 1000 pounds with the Ody in it. It cost about $110 to build the creat. The cost for a 4wheeler creat should be less because I really built the floor heavy to be handled with a fork lift.
