Specifically the transmission. Has the upgrade fixed the 2nd/3rd gear issue????? What else is changed, other than cosmetic? What is so special about the Special addition, other than the black plastic?

Yes, the transmission is updated, bringing the second and third gear closer together. Also reverse was updated. The rear axle is also an update, stronger than the 2001.

For 02 they put 4 dogs on 2nd gear instaed of 2. The limited edition isnt just black plastic, it has everything black (Frame, bumper, a arms, etc) I know for 02 they also updated the clutch and changed the rear suspension linkage and shock. I saw a web site that had all the changes outlined, if I find it again I will post it.

I understand that 1, 2, 3 & R Gear ratio's have been changed. The Radiator is not painted, the upper a-arms and rear sub frame are steel not aluminum. The Rear shock has been changed to a piggyback style to ease in assembly but the valving and linkage is the same. The 02 is 5 pounds heavier than the 01. Tell me something new!
I want to know if any one out there owns one. Have they had it for more than a few weeks, and put more than 50 hours ride time on it to testify that the transmission is in fact fixed.
