Grizz 600 vs. Grizz 660
#2
They are so difrent it't hard to tell that they have the same name. Just look at the yamaha site and note what all the features are. than take away all those special features and you are left with the 600. I'm not puting the 600 down, its just that the 660 is such an improvemnet over the origanal. but either way they are both one-of-a-kind.

I think that the Grizz600 is a good quad. I've seen them, but never rode one. (quad's never interested me unless they sported IRS) I haven't really heard anyone complain about the 600 Grizzly's, but I have read quite a few posts that had 600 Grizz owners selling and buying the 660.

I owned a 99' 600 and sold it for the 02 660. They are two totally different machines. You can't beat the IRS. The 02 is much smoother, much more stable, easier to ride. The locking front-end is the *****. I ride with guys who have a Sportsman HO, Sportsman Remington edition, Prairie and a Rubicon. The 99 600 would outrun the others, but was very stiff and un-stable when it came to rocky trails. The 02 660 is absolute the best machine. Yamaha raised the bar when they released the new Grizz. I definately don't regret buying the 02.
