More than likely your problem stems from the switch located just above your rear brake lever. Your brake lever has a connector that runs to the switch, and the switch sticks. THis will make a lot more sense after you take a good look at the set-up. Simply lube this switch up. Worked for me.

I posted about the same thing a while ago. No one knew what the problem was back then, either. I haven't figured it out, but it is the same situation as yours. Only does it while in neutral, revving or warming the engine. It is a steady blinking, not a random thing which would be associated with a loose connection. I have found that if you engage a gear it stops the blinking right away. However, putting it back in neutral and revving the engine will start the blinking again. I also had an '01 Raptor, it did not do this. I haven't found any ill effects from the blinking, but it is strange.

I have also noticed this on my '02 raptor. It's not a random blink there is a pattern to it. It only does it in neutral, ideling or reving, I've seen it before, during and after a trip out. I'm not sure what it means but I figured it was like a check engine light and just wrote it off as maybe it's because it was colder out and running a little lean. not sure though?
Garyc660r maybe right also. But if it is a switch sticking wouldn't it just be a steady light and not blinking?
The truth is out there.
