They have pretty good handling but nothen like the 250r and 400ex. They a bit heavy but with some mods they can be lightened up. They are good in sand dunes but you can also race mx with them and harescrambles with the right mods. There a pretty good machine with lots of power. Hope this helped some.

the Banshee are hard to handle, because it's so heavy, but a few after market mods can take care of that, just watch out jumping it, she likes to nose dive!!!

I find that banshees handle rather good, could use some better shocks. As for the weight it all depends on what you are compairing it to I dont think they are that heavy 386 pounds dry.

The Banshee just might be the MOST versital machine ever. I say this because they are very competitive in just about every form of racing. Just like any other machine their going to have to be set-up for the kind of racing that you want to do. But if you are a regular joe like most people than a stock machine handles just fine. Their has never been and will never be a stock machine that cannot be improved upon with aftermarket parts. Just my .02

Hey RIDEORDIEYZF
go back to that web site and post this to the people that told you that. Tell them I said if they think the banshee is to heavy than they either need to go on a diet or bulk up. With vary few mods the banshee can seem lighter than you would want it to. Espially in the front end. I know a few girls that ride banshees and a couple that have raced banshees in nationals events. So I guess you can say I disagree. Oh, by the way I am a long time friend of the 250r, but now I own a banshee if that tells you anything.

The reason you hear that about the Banshee is very simple. There some types of quad riders (no names mentioned cough Hond@ cough) that try to justify their much, much slower quads by claiming that it's really all about handling ("my RED 90cc quad will beat your Banshee in the woods or trails" type of remarks) and not aput horsepower. They exagerate the importance of handling and downplay the importance of power.

The fact is that 95% of all riders aren't pro MX racers anyway and a machines that handles a little better than another really won't be noticed. Is the Basnhee a GREAT handling machine? NO, but it is a decent handling machine and works great for most people.

I had a banshee for 5 years and had about 12000.00 into it, about every go fast part for mx you need and recently sold it and bought a 250r. They is no comparing the two, the R flat out handles a ton better than a banshee. Yes the banshee has a little more top end but the R has a ton more bottom end. I wouldnt go back for anything!!
