Best way to change sprockets and chain on 99 Warrior? What is the little plastic piece on the bottom of the airbox?

 

The thing on the bottom of the air box is a (the name slipped my mind) thing that allows you to see when the air filter needs changing by letting you see it. The best way to change the sproted and chain on a warrior is the replace only the front if you are lazy, or do the back as well. I would suggest the front first. Remove the Chain gaurd, plastic cover. Take off the old chain by removing the master link. Un-do the 2??? bolts on the front sproket. replace. Becarefull not to damage the seal that is behind the front sproket. Looksen you chain adjusters and install new chain. Tighten up, lube, and reinstall the chain gaurd.

 

only thing on the bottom of my air box is a plug with a clamp on it.... its for draining any water that gets in the box. which should not bee much as long as u dont go without a lid or modify it like i had to do.

 

Thanks guys, changed both sprockets and chain only to find the bracket on the front of the motor is broken, getting the part today. God I love air tools.
