My raptor was acting up when I was playin around climbing some 10 ft ditch hills. When the bike would start going up the hill, it would studder load up and act like the rev limiter was going off till you rev it up and blow it out.
Tonight I checked the float levels, by taking a small hose, connect it to the overflow, and bring the end back up making a u shape. Then loosen the overflow drain screw, the gas should raise 3 mm higher than the float bowl seal. Mine rose to 8 mm which is way to high.
Cracked open the carbs measured floats 9mm should be 13 mm so I adjusted and its level is perfect now.
I will test on same hills tomarrow to be sure, but everything I have read says that the floats are real important.
Anyone ever have this prob? I cant believe it was so far off!!
