Should I get this warrior?

well my friend is planning on buying himself a modded blaster and i wanna check out this 2000 warrior that is for sale. everybody i know has said it is in great shape but is really loud. i dont know if it has mods on it or not but this guy is only selling it for $600. it hasnt been bought yet because people find it suspicious to be only $600. the guy who is selling it says it is fine. he said he just really wants to get rid of it because he has a raptor, 400EX, and another quad. what do you think? he would really wanna have to get rid of it to sell it for $600. it is a 2000 warrior(red and white) with no mods as far as i have heard. it might have a pipe though since everybody says it is so loud or it could just be them. any thoughts? thanks.

melikehonda,
around here, we have a lot of goofy guys who think just taking the baffles out of their stock pipe will give them a big power gain. In fact, all this does is make the bike louder and run a little leaner. It usually doesn't amount to much damage because few of them change filters or jets. However, the slightly leaner conditions can be hard on the valves. I would check to see if this is not the reason for the louder noise. As far as the price, you said this guy owns both a raptor and a 400ex. In my opinion, anyone who knows anything about bikes would be pretty stupid to sell a perfectly good warrior for $600. I would be very suspicious. However, if you could get him to let you ride it for a week or so to try it out, you would be able to better examine the bike and find any flaws.
