How many of you have had your quad stole ? Someone stole my 01 Wolverine about 3 hours ago. Get this I just got done taking all the plastic off so I could give it a good cleaning .The only thing there was frame, motor, and gas tank!! It was sitting 5 feet from my back door my brother was on the computer 3 feet from the back door!!!They must have pushed it before they started it up.I thought I heard it fire up so I ran out to look but I guess I wasto late.If ya think it is bad that someone would steal a bike with no plastic here comes the real kick in the A$$. The right front shock was completly OFF of it!!! Ya ever tried to ride with 1 Shock??? It don't work to well!! Guess thats what I get for thinking I live in a trust worthy town. O yea 1 question before I get off my soap box. Do ya all know if home owners insurance covers something like this???

Unfortunately Homeowners insurance will not likely cover your quad simply because you can insure it on it's own policy. I carry insurance on my Warrior and Raptor and pay about $10 per month. With my luck it'll be one of the uninsured quads that gets ripped off. Hope you catch the slimy bastages that took your wolv!

dont give up hope yet, call ALL the dealers around and ask them to get a lot of information on anyone who asks about new wolverine plastic and new shocks. I dont think many people go into the dealer and buy all new plastic and 1 shock. Just keep looking.

I consider myself lucky!!!! I got a call this morning around 6:30 say'n that my Wolverine had been found. It was only about 3 blocks from my house down some old railroad tracks.I knew they couldn't have gotten to far. Also there was a rag stuffed in the intake snorkle. (I had just got done washing it) I bet ya it was running just a lil to rich after it got about a block down the road.LMAO...Well I gotta go check on some INSURANCE!!!!

In 1998, I had 3 quads stolen out of my girlfriends (now my wife) garage. My 1997 Warrior, her 1998 Polaris Trailblazer (6 months old), and her brothers 1987 Suzuki Quadsport.

In 1997 when I got my Warrior, my insurance sales man told me they were covered under homeowners insurance so I never inquired again when we bought my wifes. Turns out they changed their policy when they realized there were too many claims being put in for stolen ATV's. Now, homeowners didn't cover it and we were out $9000 in ATV's.

I learned the hard way. Get your wheeler insured.
If mine were insured, it would not have taken me until December of 2000 to get a new ATV. My wife will probably get a new one this spring.

Wow. Amazing coincidence. Right now I have all the plastic off my quad and 1 front shock (strut)off for some work and a good cleaning. I was going to put it in my truck as soon as I get the shock back together and take it to work so I could power wash it later. I thought "I probably don't have to lock it up because who would steal a quad with no plastic?" Well, now I know better. Thanks for sharing your story. Glad you got it back. Hope its in OK shape.

Anyone ever put a kill switch on their quad. I have one on my Dodge, but usually forget to switch it.
