The other week I went to the dealer to look at the Honda 300ex,Honda Rancher 4x4 ES,and Yamaha Wolverine, The 2 Honda's had a sticker on them that had the Retail price on them, But the Wolverine retails for $5,699 and it had a sticker on it that read $5,799. What's up with that? What have most of you paid for a 2002 Wolverine OUT THE DOOR? Does the 4x4 on the Wolv work really good for deep mud and water riding? How fun and fast is the wolverine compared to the Honda Rancher 4x4 ES? I live in NortCarolina so I don't know what I could get my dealer down to, Right now I have a Honda XR250R Dirt Bike so how will the Wolverine compare to it powerwise? Thanks Matt

You will love a Wolverine. You can ride with the sport bikes or get into the mud with the big guys. One thing that really impressed me is hills man it will climb. I seen some new ones on www.traderonline.com for $5000.

Get the Wolverine, it will blow the others away. You can play alot more on the Wolverine since it has great suspension, I have taken mine through alot of deep mud and it loves to swim...You add alot of aftermarket mods, pipe, jet kit, K&N filter etc and it will run great..mine has actually ran with a stock warrior in the sand until the 6 gear on the warrior really kicked in!

That's really strange that it's selling above MSRP. Here in Sudbury they've got them on a really good special, they're selling below the price of a Big Bear.
Which it should by rights. Yamaha has been charging a premium for these quads for a long time, because they do offer very good performance, but if you look at the features and cost of manufacturing they shouldn't cost any more than a Big Bear does.

Yeah NEWFIEBULLET I don't know why it was above MSRP, Maybe it was a typo but I doubt it, I WILL NOT PAY THAT MUCH FOR IT. I might just get a Rancher 4x4 ES then, I know I can get on of them for probably $5,000 OUT THE DOOR or less at another dealer around here that have good prices. I might see if I can get a used Honda Fourtrax 300 4x4 kind of cheap that way I can keep my XR250R and use it when its dry and when its MUDDY AND WET use the Fourtrax, Thanks again Matt
