HMMMMM I think you fellows have been out driving our 650 Kawi's.
HAHA Seriously I run with 2 660's and we are prety much closly matched.
My 650 is faster off the line by about one and a half bike lengths and I am able to stay there even when they get stretched out in the topend.
They run pretty close to even but the 660 can't make up the differance and I can stay out in frt.
Both bikes top out arond 99 km or around 60 mph.
Each has its own + and - in my humble opinion.

A couple of months back I took my wifes 02' Grizzley out for a couple of high speed passes. Room was not an issue as I had several miles of gravel road on top of a levee to run on. First pass I got her up to 63mph. Second and final pass I got her up to 67mph for like 3 seconds. I live at sealevel. Hope this helps someone out.

I don't know about other Grizzly 660's.
I do know what my speedometer said.
I also know that the speedometer is right on at 65mph. I have tested it against a 'new generation' GPS.
Under the same conditions that I got it up to 73mpg, as described in the earlier post, I had it up to 65mph with a total of 450lbs on the bike. That included me, a passenger (yes, I know . . . not quite the brightest thing to do . . . ) and our gear.
I tested the speedo against the GPS and other machines that were there. At the time there was another Grizzly, also pretty new, and a couple of Suzuki's. The other Grizzly was able to keep up with the 65mph no problem. In fact, he was able to sprint ahead of me at the end of the test. I don't know how fast he got. I didn't ask at the time, and I didn't want to go any faster since I had a passenger.
I'm sorry your Grizzly won't get above 61mph. I would guess you have had the regular maintenance done, and the first 20hour valve work done at the dealer.
Maybe it is an elevation issue?
