kodiak belt slippage

i was ridiing in some water today and my belt started to slip i was wondering if anybody knows what to do when that happens. i am just going to let it sit and dry i guess. please help!

There is a drain on the large blakc plastic tube coming down from under the front rack. You should also make sure this tube is securely fastened where it connects to the transmission area. It came loose on both my Kodiaks and caused the exact problem you are facing now.

there is a 12mm bolt underneath your quad on the belt side, take the bolt out and a bunch of water will drain out. THe problem will be solved

I had this problem as well. For preventative medicine carry a 12mm socket and 3 or 4" extension to open the drain plug under the belt case. I was mile from anywhere and the kit doesn't contain that wrench. I flipped the bike up with the aid of a friens and all the water came out the rear vent near the exaust pipe. I limped home and removed the drain plug. Then took off the rear vent and held a heat gub to it for several minutes(hair dryer would work).
