Warrior idle help needed!
#1
My 87 Warrior has been sitting for a few years and recently I have found some time to put into getting it up and running again. After changing the oil, changing the plug, cleaning out the gas tank, slapping on a K&N, thoroughly soaking and scrubbing the carb, I got it started. BUT it immediately revs through the roof! I kill it b/c revving that high cannot be good for any motor, especially one that's been sitting.
I tried messing with the idle screw, but it didn't seem to change anything. The carb seems to be clean and everything's moving freely and not sticking. The throttle response seems good too and springs back quickly when jabbed.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Being that you took the carb off to clean it, my guess would be that you might have messed something up in it when you tore it apart. I would take it back off of the quad and make sure everything INSIDE the carb is working properly as well. Good luck to ya.
