I bought my Kodiak about five months ago and since then I had the electronic servo that engages my 4 wheel drive burn out TWICE! Luckily my warranty covered the repairs, the parts are very pricy. My dealer says its the first time he has come across this problem with the Kodiak. I baby my machine since I'm still breaking it in so its not an abuse issue. Did anyone else have the same problems or hear of anything similar.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

 

Have one 2001 Kodiak for almost 2 years and another 2001 for 12 months before I sold it. The only problem with either was a leaking water pump that was fixed with an updated design. Been reading this forum for a year and don't remember another post on this issue.

I am sure you will get other feedback from some of the members who work at dealerships respond.

I haven't had or heard of the problem that you're having. I don't baby my Kodiak, but don't abuse it either. I have shifted into 4X4 while moving and stopped. Seems to engage perfectly. I'm sure that you too can hear the servo engaging when you push the button. Does your's engage for too long? My servo only engages for about 1/2 a second. Disengaging is the same. Sorry I can't be of much help. What did your dealer say? If you've had it replaced twice, I'd say it isn't the servo, but some other problem causing the servo to run too long and cause it to burn out. There are some very sharp guys on the forum that may be able to give you some answers. Good luck.
