I have a 2001 Blaster and I am wondering how much oil I should be going through in a tank of gas. It seems like I go about 7 tanks before I need to refill it. Is this normal? Or should it be using more than that.

If I were you I would bypass the oil injection system on you Blaster and mix your own. If something was to clog your oil injection system you could melt down your motor. I would just play it safe! My 2 cents.

A dirty air filter is more likely to cause engine damage than the pump going bad. They are very reliable. If you are a recreational rider they do just fine. I have never really paid that much attention to how many tanks of gas per tank of oil. I am guessing thou that somewhere between 5-7.

Yes that's the normal time frame for the injection oil, which is kida nice but you always have to keep an eye on it so that it doesn't run out on you.
There is an after market kit that will block it off, but we have never had a problem with my wifes Blaster.
