Works shock question
#1
Just got my front dual rate front shocks last night, I have one quick question. If I read the mounting instructions correctly the body(solid part) mounts upward. Why is this different than the stockers on the blaster? I noticed they are mounted with the bodies down. Just wanting to make sure I am installing them correctly.
One other thing, anybody know what the torque should be for the mounting bolts?

I would go to works web site. There should be helpful information there. or Try sales@worksperformance.com

That's the way Works shocks, er, work. The body is up, with the helper springs and crossover spacers riding on the body. This puts less weight on the "unsprung" suspension components.. It's a good thing. Don't worry about torque rates on the shocks, just get 'em good and tight. If you strip the threads, you went to far, just replace the bolt. And don't worry so much,, just go riding..

I already have the rear Works Quadstar with res. on the back. I have had it for about 4 months and it was night and day difference. The back end no longer bounces around on hard bumps and whoops the shock just eats up the bumps. From what Works tells me the fronts make a bigger difference than the back so I think it is really gonna make my blaster handle nice. I am working this weekend but should have it on tommorrow.
