I am putting a blaster back togother for a buddy mine and I have a problem.

No matter what I do I cannot get the pressure plate to get pushed out far enough whenever U pull the thing that pushes the rod.(The thing that the cable attaches to)Anyway.I have the long rod that goes all the way through and then the shorter one that connects to the pressure plate.I adjusted the rod on the pressure plate but it still barely pushes the plate out.I cannot figure this out.

Lots of people say blasters are easy to work on.I can take my R down the to the crank and reassemble it no problem. But I can't even put a clutch in a blaster.Geez!

Any help would be great.

I guarantee you have an extra ball bearing laying around on the workbench.. The 2 rods need that ball bearing in the middle to take up the slack

If they dont have it, any 3/16th's bb or ball bearing will probably work fine

Well they didn't have it.I went ahead and ordered it.It isn't my bike and I don't want something else to go wrong with it.I am never going to sell anything to my freinds again. For some reason they think a 11 year old bike has a warranty!

I am just gojng to waiting and get the right peice.

Thanks for the help.
