how hard would it be to put a 426 engine into say a 400ex or 250r frame. does anyone know what type of mods you have to do to the frame or motor. i seen one the other day at some races. i didnt get to talk to the guy but from what i know he had it in a 400ex frame and was tearin the track up.thanks for the help

Unless you have a bottomless wallet, don' do it. There is a guy on here, sickman80 I believe is his name, is manufacutring the mounts and possibly pipes for the 426/EX conversion, if I remember correctly.

I believe there was an article on that from Dirtwheel that it tell about the 426 bike. I can't remember what month. It not too long ago that I know.

That 400ex w/ the 426 motor that was in Dirt Wheels belongs to sickman80. I saw a guy w/ a Zilla frame that had a Yamaha motor in it... I think it was a 400, but I can't remember, but he did say it was hard to do. He had to custom build a lot of things, but one thing that I thought was pretty cool was that he made custom a-arms and bolted up a couple of Cr 80 rear shocks for the front of his quad.
