My blaster kickstarter shaft broke. I replaced it and now about 10% of the time when I kick it the pedal does not return to the top position. I believe it was assembled correctly. Has anyone experienced anything like this and if they have how was it fixed.

Sounds like the return spring isnt in correctly. Its hard to explain how to do it, but if you know how, check it out. Pm me if you dont, ill try to help, I used to have a blaster and have taken the side case apart many times.

It is definately your positive return spring. I installed an oil injection block off kit on my wife's blaster and it was required to remove the side case. It is very difficult to posistion the return spring back into its original posistion. I removed the spring and it works just fine without it, just have to place it back to its original posistion. Also if your return spring has unsprung you will need to replace the return spring for the kick starter and try to install it properly. Your current condition sounds like the spring is not contained inside a hole that keeps the spring from moving around inside the case, if so this will cause further damages to the gearing because of the spring not allowing the starter gear to slip back away from the drive gears to its free flowing posistion. I recomend to remove the spring or make sure you properly install it. If installed correctly, the kickstart will always return to its original posistion, if it does not return to its posistion, it is more than likely the spring is jammed inside your case. Let me know your results, good luck.
