There are three screws on the back of the stock silencer. take them out and look inside. It sounds like the pipe at the end of the spark arrester may have broken off. Also I did a similar move with mine, I only purchased a Bill's silencer and not a pipe with it. I noticed a huge sound difference, but not that much of a power increase. I would say if you are looking for power to just spring for the pipe/silencer combo.

Then take the pipe off and see if you can get it out or see it. I can't remember, but there may be baffels inside that pipe and one may have come loose. I may be wrong, but I would think if you took it off you should be able to figure it out much easier.

Did it do this when you first bought the pipe/silencer?

It might just be supposed to sound like a rock in it.........

Call the makers of the pipe.

Them ringy dingy dangy greasy smelly 2 smokers.Thats why I love em! Now thats why ya should have run a new t5 toomey.Maybe ya got marbles in ya head that your hearing.JK! Could it be piston slap or ring clicking on the port due to carbon build up in the exhaust port/piston rings.Sometimes from carbon varnish a ring could stick but then I would guess this would cause a seizure.I would check the exhaust springs that go from the expansion chamber to the frame. If these are simaltaneously touching the pipe,it will creat a lot of vibration and noise, sound like a skeleton dancing on a tin roof.Always check minor stuff like bolts for tightness specially the motor stays and go over the whole bike.Rule the simple things out 1st.Getting off the subject the blaster is air cooled and due to fin radiation and no liquid cooling to absorb some noise it will always be louder.Im not sure but I believe they put some rubber damping on the fins.Years ago in dirtbike they stated if the machine didnt pass noise limits ya could stuff inner tube between the fins and wrap the silencer w it too. This is a good and bad idea cause 1 the rubber heats up it will smoke and smell like all hell.Well good luck and hope this helps,1 more thing after checking the pipe for any looseness broken parts,do a compression test on the motor and a leakdown test to ,these 2 tools will tell you what the comression is and if your losing it where too along w a bottle of soapy water to see leaks.
