Buddy has a 2001 Kodiak. Went through a big mud hole and got a little water and mud in the belt housing. We stood it on its **** and drained out what we could. It was still slipping an hour later so they flipped up again and nothing came out. It was still slipping pretty good so they decided to try and flush the mud out. They removed the drain plug and poured water into that rear breather in hopes of flushing out the mud. It wasn't long until they got some strange results. In any gear 4wd on or off it will top out at about 8 - 10 mph. That is 1/4 throttle to full. They removed the belt housing and cleaned it up good. Belt is not slipping at all but it will still only top out at 8 - 10 mph. It doesn't lack power because you can go up hills or push something, but only at 8 - 10 mph.

Anyone had this happen?

Please help!

Thnx

Good luck!!
