Ok I went to CCW today, and man am I happy. I went and looked for some Banshees, and saw a 2001 untouched white one!
It is their LAST ONE. I went to it and sat on it. It felt good. But it also felt BIG!! I'm only 5'4 130lbs,so I guess thats not sayin much. I went to the sales guy and asked him if he would he sell me one with parental consent, and he said: "No,but if your parents came in here and said it was for them and kept quiet about it being for you,yes I would." WOOHOO!! My parents will do that!! Ok,I went and started looking at the quad and noticed a little pink hose coming out of the side of this grey thing which I think is one of the two carbuerators. But it only goes out an inch or so and then it looks like it was cut or something! It just goes out into air. I look on the other side, same thing. Is this just how the carbuerator sucks up air and mixes it with the gas?
Also I look under the quad, and see two pink hoses which I think each one is coming from 1 of the two carbs. The hose is only a half an inch from the ground!!! I thought to myself is it sucking up air from their too? I also thought I cant go in a foot of water with it like that! What are those hoses? Can I duct tape them to my frame and move em up a bit? And also one more thing the shee dont have oil filters does it?? THANKS please no flames.....I know binford is gonna love these questions!!!

Those hoses from the carbs are just overflow, they are supposed to be there. But I dont know about the one being so close to the ground, you should ask them about that. Dont worry about the shee feeling big, youll get used to it. Im only 5'4, 120lbs, and I ride a shee with 2+1 arms and an extended axle, it feels as wide as a ds.

What do you mean overflow?? What I'm saying is,if I go in water will that water get sucked up into my carb if it goes above that "overflow" hose?

If you ride a wheelie on pavement and go back by you will see the fuel that flowed out onto the pavement from the hoses

Cool. Can you explain the hoses so close to the ground? So your saying if I went to cross like 3 feet of water, and that hose went under the water.nothin would f**k up?

Yes thrust. Those hoses are there in case the carb is filling with to much fuel, or if the bike is leaned waaaay back, or rolls over. Gas from the carb will drain out.
Goin through water with the ends of them submerged will not hurt a thing.
