I was at the local dealer yestarday and was going to buy a new griz when the dealer told me if i wanted a more sport oriented 4x4 to wait til after june 13th. He said yamaha might be releasing a new 660 wolverine or a manual shift solid axle griz. I dont know if i believe him or not but has anyone else heard this? If its true i will definatley wait.

 

I didnt hear what kind of quad it was going to be. But There was a guy at my dealer that was looking at the new Z and the dealer said u might want to wait cause Yamahas coming out with a new one!

Man, if they come out with a 660 wolverine that will really pi$$ me off. I just bought one 2 weeks ago.

 

A friend of mine was interested in a wolverine about 2 weeks ago, so we went to a local dealer. We asked where the wolverine was, we couldn't find one, and he said they haven't had one in over 2 months due to the fact that Yamaha will be upgrading it for 2003. He said he believes it will be a 400 or 500 with on/off 4wd. There was supposed to be a midwest dealer meeting sometime this month, and he said to check back and he would update us. He even went as far as putting my friends name down on a list for the new wolverine. He is the first on the list at this dealer, but just the fact that the dealer took his name tells me there is a definite change coming this year. He also said it will most likely come out around september or october.

 

According to my dealer the wolervine will be discontinued for 2003 the kodiak or what ever it will be called will replace it.. i`ve heard 450 cc not sure about anything else ,however i did hear that the price should stay the same as the 2002 kodiak

 

Your dealer was correct about June 13. On the Yamaha website in the news section it said New 2003 ATV models are to be announced June 13 Thursday at 9pm Pacific time. I called customer relations to see if I could get some info out of them but the guy said even they are not told anything in advance. So I guess every thing is rumour until 9pm June 13
