Needaraptor.....I would stay away from an 01 Raptor. Why take the chance? Get an 02, the gear set is definately stronger and more reliable.

 

December 2000 mine is fine.

Although, if you were buying used, you just may want to keep the thought open that if it goes it will be ~$1000 to fix.

It's kind of how you think about buying anything without insurance / warranty.

Keep looking. You should be finding a few out there. Just get one that isn't beat.

Also, there is a thread today which deals with the clutch missadjustment which causes the tranny failures. Good read.
