Well, i gotta say the new colors are the best Yamaha has come up with to date.

I have a Warrior, bought it new in '95 and haven't hardly touched it since I bought my Banshee in late '99.

The Warrior is a nice trail machine and is comfortable to ride with ergonomics that are suited to larger riders. But.... These days there are better choices such as the new Suzuki Z400. I love my Warrior - it's a nice & reliable machine but it's old school. The future is Z400, Raptor, C-Dale and DS650.

Think hard before you plop down your cash. Oh, also if you think that you want to save some money with the Warrior because it's fast enough for you. Trust me, today it's fast enough but tomorrow you are pissed becasue you can't hit 90 MPH yet on your Banshee. Nothing is fast enough because whatever oyu have you will outgrow it.

I have been riding my ole 1990 warrior since it was brand new and it's been the best quad I have ever owned...lots of adventures on that thing ! But, to be honest, dollar-for-dollar, the 400EX or Z400 are likely better overall performers. I'm normally riding a 01 Raptor now but the trusty Warrior still gets lots of hours and is always on-call. It's hard to go wrong with a Warrior but it really depends on how much ya want to push it.

Well I have had my 2002 Warrior for about 5 months now and its a very good machine when you think about its age.The only problem I have ever had with it was it was stuck in reverse and wouldn't go into gear for anything so I took it back to the dealer and had it fixied had it back in 2 days which was pretty good. This 4-wheeler is great for trail riding, mudding, and plain screwing around on I would recommend this atv to you if you want something that is very dependable.Oh yeah the last thing is buy new tires or if not just rear tires cause the rear tires are like hot air balloons and when you try sliding it and try doing things that a banshee cant do well you'll see my point when you get it.I think you'll be pleased with your choice no flames please thanks

I have a new 02 Warrior and so far it has been great. I have ridden the EX400 and Z400 which I will say are better as far as speed and handling but for the price and since I don't race the Warrior has been flawless for me. It is a little dated but it does what it was intended to do which is trail ride. It is great at that and will climb alot of hills. Mine is stock except for a WB pipe and Maxxis Razr's. I climb all the hills that my friends do on their EX's and Z400's with little problems.

If you just want a nice long lasting machine then the Warrior is perfect. If you need the fastest or latest and greatest thing on the market this week then the Z400 or the pricey Cannondale would be better. THe EX400 is still a really nice machine to.

I actually would not say no to any of them but I just like the Warrior for my riding.

I've owned 3 Warriors, all new ( 88', 95', 98') I think they are the best built quad ever made, fun to ride, easy to handle, reverse, most reliable machine ever built, water proof, great wheelies, jumps good, just oil the chain and go quad to ever roost on planet Earth!! Top speed around 60mph, just one thing, never ever ride a faster quad while you're out riding, because when you get back on that Warrior it feels like you're pulling a cement truck for about an hour until you get back use to the Warrior.I like the way the Warrior sounds with the baffle removed, but it runs faster in midrange and top end with it in, I know, I've done it on all 3 of them.

hey,
I never owned a warrior but I have owned Wolverine and they have the same motor. The motor is very good and strong. I am sure the Warrior is faster and stronger than the Wolve because of lighter weight and chain drive and it's only 2 wheel drive. But I hear that Warriors are the strongest quad out there with flawless problems. I have rode them couple of times. My first MOD would be TIRES!! The ballon tires has to go! Hope that I help ya! Good Luck! GO FOR THE RED AND BLACK!
See ya guys
God blesses
Dusty
