Got beat by a 12 year old girl

An average 12 year old can drive a raptor and as long as they apply some sense can probably be pretty capable of handling it. We are not talking about that here. This was a race, wide open on a 686 Raptor.
Ive been wrong before and if I am wrong here there is only a little pride at stake for me. If anyone else is wrong there is slightly more at risk.

I have to say that each of you are correct in some way.
For example:
In rockey's last post he says an AVERAGE 12 year old can drive a Raptor. This I agree with but I think that ya'll are talking about an above average 12 year old. This, to me, would change alot.
When I was 12 I had a kx 250. Sounds bad just left like that, but let me add that I started riding at age 3 on a Honda 50. I gradually progressed increassing sizes as I aged. There are alot more factors that should be taken into consideration than just the girls age.

Age and experience are two totally diff. things, I know people that are almost old enough to retire and have never even touched a quad. I for one have never even had a bike, I got an lt50 when I was 4! I rode that until I was to big for it and then progressed to where I am today. I agree if the girl has never rode anything but a breeze in her backyard then yes I would be scared. I asume that her dad had made sure that she had plenty experience b4 letting her hop on a freggin 686, if not well he needs to be put in jail for being a complete danger to well being of society.

shoot I'm 5'5 13 years old and 132lbs. And right now wish I could have anythng. But,to say the least,I wouldn't fit too well on a trx90.
Even look in the DWs where they tested the trx90. They had a 12 yr old that was 4'5 it looked like then there was one who was atleast 5'6.
YES that law needs to be updated.

I have seen a lot of 12-13 yr olds that dirve a lot more sensible than some young guys (mid 20's)
I personally say it is a case by case basis. My daughter is 7 and I let her drive my sportsman. I am riding with her of course (she is way to small to go it alone). However, I also feel that it is better that when she asks, I take her and show her the Safe correct way to operate the machine than to find out a couple of years from now that she took it out when I was at work and hurt herself or somebody. I started riding snowmobiles when I was 5 yrs old. by the time I was in my early teens, I was doing radar runs. Again some people I would definately be worried, but hey if she was beating guys, and she never rolled the bus, then who are we to judge.
