ok, here's my problem.I have an 88 blaster which i just bought. One of the gears in the kick starter is broken. so i tried to popstart it. after it had started i shifted into first and it went backward. I am guessing someone has put a gear or gears on backwards??? I am not sure of this, but if any one knows what the problem is please let me know. Thank you

A 2 stroke engine can run backwards. Did it do that more than once? The engine might have "kicked" and spun the engine the opposite way just enough for it to start.If anything you got 6 reverse speeds and have to push it to go forward. Try push starting in high gear.
