Only diff between the 03 & the 02's that are out now is the price & graphic. I think even the later 02's are coming out with the 03 pegs.

Don't mean to jump on ya here but we really don't know what all has changed with the power train until someone sees and/or takes apart it. I for one am hoping that more than that, but unless you know something the rest of us don't, only time will tell.
(I'm thinking positive, unfortunately I will have to break it in during season so I really don't want to have to be working on it instead of hunting with it.)

Hey not a problem. I'm just going off what I've read and what my dealer has told me. As you said, who really knows until they are out...but I suspect I'm pretty close to the mark.

I know you have always been very helpful. I found this tonight.
<< i just left my dealer where he told me that yamaha said that they have a vapor lock problem and that they are sending heat shield for my tank , carb, and pipe. also sending new side panels that have i intake hose of some kind to force air. the rep said it is already on the o3 models also my set of floorboords will be in in about a month they are being made now for the 03. he said yamaha did not anticipate people not standing on the pegs . we shall see. my stuff should be here monday as they are sending it fedex. oh yah they are also adjusting my valves when they put the stuff on and also want it back in after 200 miles because the rep said the heat is making the valves need adjuting more often and are hoping this fixes the problem. they also replaced my gauges because my clock did not keep time. >>
Hope its true.

Rubi500,
I was just making a comment that IF you wanted to go deeper, you could. I, for one, have not snorkled my bike. I HAVE had very little water in one of the griz's that we have. Deep crick, HAD to cross...hehe
I personally havent decided that i NEED to go deeper, but heck, YA NEVER KNOW!!!
It is those holes that you "fall" in, that always seem to get the water in
