yes, the raptor does handle in the woods.

Warrior007-The desert is 115 degreas this time of year, so you don't have a lot of choices. The savy rider switches to mountain riding in the summer.
My point is, that you occasionaly also see big dirt bikes like the XR650 up there. You have to be pretty desperate to ride the "big red pig" on the trails. Even guys on 400 class dirt bikes complain!! I think what happens, is these guys ride once, decide it's no fun and never come back (lucky for the rest of us). I was guessing that maybe this applies to Raptors too????? By the way, I've been counting Banshees too, and the grand total is 2.

hey rodsquads, i spoke too soon . this week i smacked a tree on a nasty off camber section and broke a tierod end. i'm sure if i was riding a 400ex i would of missed it since it's obviously superior to the raptor (according to honda wheels magazine). by the way, after i hit the tree and was launched over the bars, i got up , started the quad, backed up,and still there was no sign of the 6 400ex's,1 400z and 2 250r's in my class.that's how big a lead i had. i just biffed it man. somedays are diamonds, somedays are stone...

Your probably right yzguy but I dont know the trails you speak of or why they would complain. All I can speak of is around here.. I will happily go wherever a 400ex goes. Heat doesnt bother my water cooled "pig" nor do tight twisties since I have reverse on the "pig" aswell.
