Has anyone tried the clutch kit? Does this help as far as lowering the gearing? I know that it is suppose to increase the rpm's for engagement, just not sure if it really helps that much..

Here is what I have found out so far about the bogging problem. Doesn't seem to do it when the engine is cold. Problem is that the engine gets hot after 3 minutes of riding and the bogging returns.
Had someone watch when I had the quad in the mud and on steep hills while boging. Black smoke comes out of the exhaust. A mechanic told me that he had seen this before on some other equipment and checked the temp of the carb. It was hot. I am going to heat tape the exhaust and carb to see if there is any difference. Probaly cut holes in the side panels too. I'll get back with any results.

I have seen you guys post about this but hadn't experienced it on my grizz until this weekend. In my case no mud involved, rather climbing steep hills. this rules out the steam in the spark plug issue for me. It doesn't matter if lugging a low rpm, or mashing hard on the throttle, also, in high or low gear, 2wd, 4wd or whatever.

I am wondering if its heat like others, or adjustment on the float bowls in the carb? anyone messed with the carb yet on these gizz's?

they sure do run hot, my fan won't turn off all day long, yet I have never seen the overheat light come on. sometimes I can hear something boil after turning the machine off. I can't tell if its coolant boiling or fuel. anyone else hear that and figure out what it is?

mine is new enough to be under warranty so I will see what the dealer tells me, but I hope this isn't a long term problem and a fix comes out soon.

I love my grizz!!!

scoobie, its your gas boiling. If you take your gas cap off you will see the bubbles.
