i was riding my warrior when it cut out on me and would not start back up. i still had lights but the motor would not turn over. i check and cleaned the battery terminals, but still nothing. i took the plastic of and used a screwdriver to jump the solonoid and it started right up. i was then able to start it 5 or 6 times with the switch (like normal), then nothing (still have lights) Did the samething again. Jumped the solonoid, started up, would start 5 or 6 times with the switch, then nothing.

Bad solonoid?

loose wiring?

Bad switch?

Please help!!!!!!

Could be the solinoid itself. If the post is loose then it will short out. When you jumped it it stayed contacted until it got knocked loose again. Id check it then the wiring to see if it has any cracks in it.

UPDATE!!!

just notice this evening that shifting into reverse kills the engine. we searched the bike over and didn't find any worn or cracked wires.

would a bad solonoid have anything to do with killing the engine when put into reverse???
