Sand tires, myth or truth?

Hurycne,
From the homework I have done (I did alot, but just comparing can be different then riding), I have found that the Sand devils are a good paddle. They are a molded paddle, which is quite different then a Hauler which is welded onto the tire. So, the Devils could be more durable in that respect. Another item I found, is that the Devils will be heavier, somewhere in the 3-5 lb range. Which in drag racing can make a huge difference, but not so noticeable for the playing around duner. Lastly, the Devils are substantially cheaper then the Haulers, again due to the popularity of the Haulers, the amount of time Skat Trak has been in business and the interest of drag racers and the weight issue.

I run 9 paddle extremes on my EX and I am buying a set of 10 paddle extremes in coos bay this week for the Banshee. The 9 paddle extremes, when compared to an 8 paddle reg hauler, hook HARD! I got the set, mounted on .160, for $300. The work well everywhere. There is about 5 psi in them, and I went from being dead even with a piped raptor (for lack of hook up) to 5+ bike lengths. I think they were definitely worth the money!
