I gave $6100 for my 02 Raptor in Nov of 01 (2 months after the 02s were released) & got $300 worth of free accessories & paid no sales tax, so thats like paying $5800 OTD not including the tax savings!! so much for the Z being a better deal.

All the Zs I've seen at Sahara weren't a real shiny yellow It was more a sand color from eating Raptor Roost!!BAAAHAHAHAHA!! LMFAO!!!

In the sand the Z can't touch a Raptor period. The sand just sucks power from a quad & the Raptor Has plenty to spare.

90% of my riding is in the dunes & the Z doesn't stand a chance against a Raptor there!

before you answer that question allow me. you have noticed the superior headlight of the Z compared to the Raptor. well theres more there going on then cosmetics. The z's headlight has been known to create visual anomolies under bright/hot conditions...what you are actualy seeing is a mirage...the z is actually in front of you. They call it the Z-factor

Yes a Z or EX might smoke my A$$ in the tight woods & on a MX track but I'm old & fat so it's not that hard to do, But in the dunes... That my friend is a whole other ball game!!

Oh yea the only thing DW said that I agreed with is that they didn't like the headlight on the Z!! HAHAHA!!

Thank you raptor660rnh you have made me shed my ignorance. How could Yamaha have built the machine 2 years earlier and use Suzukis design shame shame yamaha.

 

Relax guys. They basicaly say the reason they chose the Z was the $800.00 difference in price tag. They couldn't find any other logical reason. I like the Z's and if I were in the market for another quad I would consider getting one but, only after the purchase of the 2003 Raptor.
