Okay, I checked my sparkplug and it is black and oily. I tore it apart today, and what do you know my husband lied to me It is actually jetted at 150.
Okay, now my question is since it is black and oily doesn't that mean that I am actually getting to much gas? Not really sure about this.
Also, I was having probs with my throttle sticking, so I cleaned my cable etc. since I had the carb open. The spring etc. inside the housing of the carb was slightly corroded and sticking pretty bad. I cleaned all of that out and now the throttle is really smooth, I was wondering if that could be part of the reason I just started having the problem now. Who knows.
Anyway any more suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My bike is torn apart right now and need it back together and running goood by Thursday, so I can keep up with all those damn Raptors I ride with.
Thanks
Michele

are you getting any smoke from your pipe ? is it blue or black ? have you cleaned your air filter element ? if your compression is ok and you aren't oil fouling your plug , the air filter isn't clogged, you might go to a 145 or 140 main jet.

Get rid of the parking brake safety switch on the clutch lever if you havent allready. This can cause problems anywhere from 1/4 throttle to full and can be intermittent.

The switch tries to detect wether your parking brake is on, if it thinks it is (at any rpm) the quad will hit its limter and shutdown till idle.

A warrior is alot more forgiving on the jetting then people think, its not going to shut off in 4th gear unless you go very very fat on the main.

Also check the reverse lever switch, this can cause full throttle problems, run a ground lead from the negative on the battery to the reverse lever itself.

Good job cleaning the carb that will help..

007: gave you some great advice...get rid of the parking brake/clutch perch set-up...GYT-R makes a perch for the YZ400 that'll replace that. it will elinate alot of the wiring and cables up front to. you'll need a block-off plate for brake as well. simple job. cable to battery and reverse is smart as well.
both these changes have been known to end many a warrior owners day of riding. carbs have been torn apart, spark plugs checked an re-checked...compression tests. all over a small wire that should have been chaged or eliminated long ago.

Keep us updated...let us know what you find

Okay, thank you all for the advice. I ran it this morning and still cutting out, but noticed I was wrong in the initial question. It cuts out in any gear at full throttle, at home or at dunes. NO smoke and yes just checked my air filter. I have a K&N so you know how those are. Anyway, I have heard about the rev limiters on Warriors so going to check that out. Also, have any of you heard about the brain (black box) going bad and causing these probs? Just a thought. Thanks again, will keep you posted.
