I sent the CPSC contact info to a buddy of mine who rides a Raptor (mainly dunes) but does not frequent this board. He passed it on to other folks he knows and also a couple Glamis oriented web-sites as well. Please do the same to help spread the word.

I've had my tranny go 3 times!!!! what is the cspc website? i wanna post!
also, yamaha told me there is no way to put 2002 gears in a 2001 tranny. So i just ordered another set of 2001 gears!!! aggg!!

I have made the call as well previously. If you have had an 01 tranny let go...CALL before someone gets seriously hurt or worse.

 

My '01 raptor trany is in the process of going out, 2nd gear is slipping. It is going to cost me around $1500 to get it fixed. Thanks for the information on CPSC. I am going to call them in the morning.

 

CZY, the parts for the total 02 gearset to swap out the tranny is only $435. The labor should not be that much to cost you $1500 in all. Check around Bro, if you have that option.
